We believe that when children enter our school it is important to build a good foundation.  A foundation that enables each of them shine on their learning journey throughout Flockton School. We learn about good foundations in the story of, 'The wise builder and the foolish builder'.  We build these  by offering a creative, exciting and fun environment which promotes play based learning both indoors and outdoors. We provide children with a combination of child initiated and adult led activities and balance open ended play and exploration with direct teaching.  We ensure both our indoor and outdoor classroom is bright and stimulating with a continuous curriculum that offers lots of independent tasks. These are all closely linked with our teaching themes, allowing children a chance to extend and explore their learning. We aim to inspire, excite and aid learning in a positive and safe environment where all children’s achievements are celebrated.
